Elphinstone RCMP have made two arrests in connection with a drug bust that occurred on Keeseekoowenin FN this past weekend.
On March 17, 2012, at about 2:30pm, Elphinstone RCMP, with the assistance of the Dauphin RCMP Police Dog Service, executed a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrant at a residence on Keeseekoowenin FN.
While searching the residence, police located approximately 42 grams of marijuana as well as a quantity of cash. Police say that a 36-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested at the residence during the search.
RCMP report that both suspects have been released from police custody and are facing a number of charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. They are scheduled to appear in Minnedosa Provincial Court on April 17, 2012.
Police continue to investigate.
