On March 31, 2012, just before 11am, the Powerview RCMP and local area EMS, along with the STARS Helicopter, were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Traverse Bay Road North in the RM of Victoria Beach.
RCMP report that the adult female driver, along with her 8-year-old daughter, were travelling south in a pick-up truck when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle.
The driver was airlifted to a Winnipeg hospital where she remains in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. The child was taken by ambulance to hospital with undetermined injuries and has since been released.
The investigation into the cause of this crash continues with the assistance of an RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist.
