On May 1, 2012, just after 6pm, Selkirk RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a collision in the RM of St. Clements involving an automobile and ATV.

Initial investigation indicates that two 15-year-old girls operating an ATV were traveling south on road 29 east when they attempted to cross Highway 44. The girls were then struck by a eastbound Ford Mustang.

The two girls were transported to hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The adult male driver of the Ford Mustang was not injured.

Police continue to investigate.
