Steinbach resident Leonard Klassen was recognized for his local charitable work with the presentation of a Diamond Jublilee medal.
Klassen was instrumental in establishing the Steinbach Rotary Club which is a local service club that raises money for a variety of causes. Steinbach MLA, Kelvin Goertzen, who presented the medal noted that through Klassen’s leadership Rotary has become the key funder of the local DARE program which provides drug resistance training in local schools.
