On September 19, 2012, at about 5:30pm, as part of an on-going investigation, Lundar RCMP conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 6, about 6 miles south of Lundar.

RCMP report that a 2012 Dodge Caravan with a male driver and three female passengers was stopped. Police discovered the driver to be in possession of approximately two ounces of cocaine. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be about $1,600.

A 59-year-old Easterville man is now facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He has been released from police custody and will be scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.

The three female passengers were released without charge.

Police continue to investigate.
