On October 16, 2012, at about 3pm, Oakbank RCMP were dispatched to a report of a body found in the RM of Springfield near the Red River Diversion.
RCMP report that the body was located by a person working in the area and police were notified.
Police say that the deceased has been tentatively identified as a 54-year-old man from Winnipeg. An autopsy has been ordered, however, at this time, foul play is not suspected.
Police continue to investigate.
