Starting Wednesday, December 12, the City of Steinbach Waterworks Department will be reading water meters in Steinbach. These readings will provide the basis for the quarterly utility bills issued at the beginning of February.
Meter readings will be conducted by two Waterworks Department employees and take 5 to 7 days to complete. These City employees can be identified by their safety vests and the City of Steinbach identification cards that they carry.
Meter readings are not invasive, unless the meter is located inside the house or the read-out is not working, in which case City employees will request entry into the house.
