The City of Steinbach’s Annual Winter Carnival has been postponed until next Saturday, January 26, due to the frigid wind chills expected this weekend.
Saturday’s weather forecast calls for strong winds, making it feel like -31, and less than ideal conditions for the carnival and this year’s mini sled racing feature event.
“We want people to have a first-rate winter experience”, said Parks and Rec Programmer Jason Peters, “and to ensure that happens, we need winds to be a bit milder”.
