On February 15, 2013, at about 11:30am, Gimli RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of an attempted robbery at a financial institution in Winnipeg Beach.

Initial investigation indicates that a lone male armed with a knife entered the premises demanding cash before fleeing empty-handed. Police say that there were no injuries in this incident.

The suspect is described as about 5′ 10″ tall, wearing a snowmobile suit and balaclava.
