On February 18, 2013, at about 6:30am, St. Pierre Jolys RCMP were notified that a man had been found by a civilian unconscious on Road 45N, off of Provincial Road 210, about two and a half miles west of Landmark.

Resuscitation efforts were attempted to no avail.

RCMP and local EMS arrived on scene and identified the individual as a 54-year-old local man.

RCMP continue to investigate the death. Early investigation suggests that the vehicle hit the ditch, at which point the man walked away from his vehicle and was later found about 50 metres away.

An autopsy will take place in Winnipeg in the coming days to determine the cause of death. At this point of the investigation, foul play is not suspected.

Poor visibility and poor road conditions were reported in the area.
