The Steinbach Arts Council is making an open public invitation for the 15th Annual Southeast Open Judged Art Exhibit happening in April at the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre.

Come celebrate two fabulous displays of art entered by children and adults from all over the Southeast! This year shows a surge in school involvement, with several schools participating. This is also the largest number of juvenile entries in the history of Southeast Open Judged exhibits –  with some exceptional works of art. There are over 75 juvenile entries and nearly 40 adult entries to see – featuring photography, pencil drawings, paintings and crafted art, to name a few.

Mayor Chris Goertzen and MLA Kelvin Goertzen will bring greetings at the Adult Open Judged Ceremony on April 3. Come enjoy refreshments, speeches and live entertainment by Zack Schinkel – and see the accomplishments of local artists from your community!

The Juvenile Exhibit Opening on April 5 will feature greetings by  members of City Council, RM of Hanover and the Hanover School Division. Magician, Juggler and refreshments for all – bring your kids!

The Southeast Open Judged exhibit ceremonies are happening April 3rd and 5th from 7-9pm, while the exhibit runs through April 25. The Southeast Open Judged exhibit is the highlight of our visual arts season. Please join us for our 15th year celebration! RSVP by calling our office or email visualarts@steinbachartscouncil.ca to confirm your attendance.
