The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit is warning the public about a convicted sex offender that may take up residence in the Winnipeg River area.
The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) is a joint forces unit of the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP. MIHRSOU has provided information regarding 52-year-old Bruce Gordon Nelson, a convicted sex offender who is considered at risk to become involved in further sexual offences.
Nelson is expected to take up residence in the Winnipeg River area. He has previous convictions for possession and distribution of child pornography and committing an indecent act as well as other criminal offences. Although Nelson may have participated in minimal sex offender treatment, he is still considered at risk to re-offend. Female children are at risk.
