On May 11, 2013 from 12pm to 3pm, RCMP, including seven Steinbach officers, and WPS will be participating in a “Cops For Cancer Head Shave” at the Kildonan Place Shopping Mall. The money raised will be used for continued research in order to develop more effective treatment and patient care.
Seven members of the Steinbach RCMP Detachment are participating and having their heads shaved in support of this fundraiser. As everyone knows Cancer is very prevalent and affects people in all walks of life. This is a small step these RCMP officers are taking to raise funds in support of research, patient and family care.
Sgt. Rob Lasson, Cst. Terry Sundell, Cst. Kyle Jeffrey, Cst. James Zambon, Cst. T.J. Clarke, Cst. Richard Belliveau, and S/Sgt. Harold Laninga are all participating on behalf of the City of Steinbach, our local RM’s and the RCMP.
Should anyone wish to make a donation towards this very worthwhile event, a website has been set up and donations can be made to any of the individual officers.
