On May 24, 2013, at approximately 2:30pm, Steinbach RCMP were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on Main Street in New Bothwell, Manitoba. Police, along with the New Bothwell Fire department and EMS from St. Pierre responded to the incident.

RCMP report that a Jeep Cherokee, driven by an adult female, collided with a tree in front of a residence. Police believe the cause of the collision was due to impairment by a controlled substance. It was also determined that the vehicle was not registered or insured.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach for minor injuries.

Charges are pending against the driver of the vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.
