On May 31, 2013, just before 5pm, Central Plains RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Yellowquill Trail East in Long Plain First Nation, Manitoba.

Police say that a marijuana grow operation was located in the residence and a total of 40 plants were seized. As a result of the seizure, a 19-year-old female from Long Plain First Nation and a 21-year-old male from Dakota Tipi First Nation were arrested.

Charges are currently pending and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the cultivation of marijuana is asked to call their local police agency or RCMP Detachment.
