On June 5, 2013, just before 11:30am, Powerview RCMP conducted a traffic stop in relation to a speeding vehicle in Fort Alexander.

Further investigation revealed a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles) and approximately 15 grams of marijuana.

Police have charged the driver, 19-year-old Vincent O’Laney, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited weapon as well as a charge under the Highway Traffic Act for speeding. His passenger, 19-year-old Brandon Courchene, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Both men have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Pine Falls Provincial Court on July 24, 2013.
