The Honourable Jake Epp
The Honourable Jake Epp, former Provencher MP and Minister of Health, is returning to Steinbach for a keynote address to Steinbach’s business community at the Chamber’s 55th Annual Spring Banquet on May 7, 2009. The last time the Honourable Jake Epp addressed the local business community was in 1985.
Twenty-four years later, his keynote address “Survival of the Global Economic Crisis in Steinbach” will be one of the highlights of the banquet’s formal programme. Chamber President Paul Neustaedter says that “While Steinbach is not experiencing the level of financial woes that those in other cities and provinces are, this topic is still one extremely close to the hearts of local business owners”.
Being held at Steinbach 55 Plus at 5:30 PM, the banquet will also include a networking reception, fine dining and entertainment, and the 6th Annual Business Awards Program, featuring finalists that include G&E Homes, Penner Signs, Oak Leaf Promotions, King Insurance, Canada Safeway, Hytek Ltd. and Biovail Corporation.
The award recipients will be announced live during the event in the categories of Young Entrepreneur, Customer Service, Community Involvement, and Business of the Year.
