On Friday, June 14, 2013, at approximately 3:30pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a report of a distraught male at a residence in the RM of North Norfolk.
Reports indicated that the man was believed to be in possession of a firearm. Members from Portage la Prairie RCMP, Portage la Prairie General Investigation Section as well as a number of “D” Division support units attended the location.
RCMP report that a 53-year-old man from MacGregor, Manitoba, was arrested without incident and will be facing a number of firearm related charges. He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Portage la Prairie Provincial Court on July 15, 2013.
