On June 21, 2013, just before 1:30am, Selkirk RCMP along with St. Andrews and West St. Paul Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle collision on Highway 8 near Miller road in the RM of St. Andrews.

RCMP and EMS arrived on scene and found a pick-up truck on its side. The driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was located inside the vehicle.

RCMP report that the driver, identified as a 40-year-old man from West St. Paul, Manitoba, succumbed to his injuries.

Police say that it appears the vehicle was travelling south on Highway 8, when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the driver lost control and rolled.

Alcohol is not considered a contributing factor in this collision. The seatbelt was not in use at the time of the crash.

The investigation continues with the assistance of an RCMP Traffic Analyst.
