RCMP investigators are asking the public for assistance in locating 20-year-old Alexander Joe Sanderson who is allegedly involved in a recent attempted murder incident.

On July 8, 2013, at 9:30pm, Grand Rapids RCMP were dispatched to a shooting in Grand Rapids, Manitoba.

Initial investigation and witness reports indicates that two men, ages 18 and 22, were travelling on a four wheel all-terrain vehicle when they were shot at by a male.

RCMP report that the 18-year-old man was not injured and the 22-year-old man was transported to hospital in Winnipeg for treatment of serious, non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 20-year-old Alexander Joe Sanderson for his alleged involvement. Sanderson has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, and is facing a number of other firearm related charges.

Sanderson is described as 5’2″ tall and about 100 lbs with a thin build. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Alexander Sanderson is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Acting on information received from the public, Sanderson was arrested with the assistance of the Winnipeg Police Service.
