On August 31, 2013, at about 2am, Selkirk RCMP, along with local emergency services, were dispatched to the scene of a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. The incident occurred on Petersfield Road near Highway 9 in the community of Petersfield, MB.

Initial investigation indicates a vehicle was traveling west on Petersfield Road when it struck a male on the roadway. The male, a 23-year-old from Petersfield, was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

RCMP report that the vehicle that struck the male, left the scene of the collision. An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst will be assisting with the investigation.
