Visitors to the Steinbach Aquatic Centre this past weekend were the last to enjoy the outdoor splash park and pool this year. The facilities are now closed for the season.
Although it was a good season, Dean Janzen, Aquatic Centre Manager says usage is always weather dependent. When the weather cooperated, the outdoor facilities were well utilized and appreciated by those looking to cool off. When the weather was less cooperative, visitors still enjoyed the indoor pool.
Aquatic Centre staff is busy emptying, cleaning and prepping the outdoor facilities for the winter season.
The indoor portion of the Aquatic Centre is open year round. Janzen also mentioned that a few spots are still available in some of the fall swimming lesson classes that have just begun.
