Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a report of a suspicious male that approached a teenage girl this past Sunday night in the Clearspring Centre parking lot near the picnic tables located north of McDonald’s.

Police investigation so far has determined that a middle-aged man approached the teenage girl and had asked her questions about a dog she had been playing with earlier. He also asked her questions about where her parents were. At one point, the male put his arm around the teen and attempted to hug her. The teen distanced herself from the man and he eventually left the area driving an older black four door car that had a bicycle attached to a rack on the back of it.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, with average height and build. At the time, he was unshaven, had short black hair and was wearing a baseball cap, eye glasses, a black jacket and black jeans.

Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the man involved in this incident. It is believed that the man had been hanging around the McDonald’s area for several hours Sunday afternoon.
