On December 19, 2013, shortly before 5:30pm, Stonewall RCMP along with local fire and EMS responded to motor vehicle collision on Highway 7, two kilometres south of Stony Mountain.

Investigation suggests that a southbound Ford pickup truck ran into the back of a Honda Civic, which had stopped on the side of the highway to provide assistance to the driver of a Grand Prix.  As a result of the collision the Honda Civic was pushed into the back of the Grand Prix. Police say that the Honda Civic ended up in the ditch, while the pickup truck came to rest on its side, on the side of the highway.

RCMP report that there were no injuries in this incident and that the 40-year-old male driver of the pickup truck has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for driving imprudently.
