On January 20, 2014, shortly after 10:30pm, Stonewall RCMP along with area EMS and Fire responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 6 and Provincial Road 236 in the RM of Rosser.

Initial police investigation indicates that a pickup truck traveling southbound on Provincial Road 236 failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway 6 and was struck by a westbound semi-trailer.

RCMP report that the 48-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was pronounced deceased on scene. The 47-year-old driver of the semi-trailer received minor injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this collision. An RCMP traffic analyst, along with members of Stonewall RCMP, continue to investigate.
