On February 27, 2014, shortly before 7am, Selkirk RCMP, along with local emergency services were dispatched to a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 17 in the RM of St. Andrews.

Police say that the wing blade of a Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation plow truck travelling eastbound on Highway 17, broke off and was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, which had been travelling behind the plow. The blade was then struck by a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire travelling westbound. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.

RCMP report that a 29-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet Equinox was transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The male drivers of the plow and Pontiac Sunfire were not injured.
