On March 30, 2014, shortly before 4:30pm, Stonewall RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance at the Stonewall Arena in Stonewall, Manitoba.

Initial police investigation revealed that during the last period of a minor hockey league championship game between Stonewall and Dog Creek First Nation, one of the referees may have been struck by one of the 14-year-old players, along with some of the parents fighting in the stands.

RCMP report that the hockey game was stopped and that there were no injuries in this incident.

Police were able to defuse the situation and clear approximately one hundred people from the arena without incident.
