On May 30, 2014, just before 8:30am, Virden RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 41 and the Trans-Canada Highway, near Virden, Manitoba. The collision involved a school bus and a semi-trailer.

Police say that the school bus was traveling south on Highway 41 when the driver attempted to turn east on the Trans-Canada Highway. The front end of the bus was then hit by an eastbound semi-trailer. There is significant damage to the front end of both vehicles.

RCMP report that three children were on board the bus at the time of the incident and were not injured. The bus driver suffered minor injuries.
