On May 31, 2014, at approximately 10:30 pm, Oakbank RCMP responded to a fire on Deacon Road (Highway 207) just north of Dugald Road.
When RCMP arrived on scene, a shop and a barn on the property were fully engulfed. Local fire departments attended to extinguish the blaze.
Onlookers became a safety concern, so RCMP from Oakbank, Beausejour and East St. Paul conducted traffic duties in the area.
There were no injuries sustained in this incident and initial investigation shows the fire to be non-suspicious in nature. The Office of the Fire Investigator is assisting with the investigation.
