A Lorette man is facing numerous firearms-related charges after being arrested by police earlier this week.
On June 10, 2014, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Lorette, Manitoba. With the assistance of the RCMP National Weapons Enforcement Support Team, Steinbach RCMP, and the RCMP Winnipeg Major Crimes Unit, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP seized two firearms, ammunition and a large knife.
RCMP report that a 28-year-old man from Lorette is facing charges of unsafe storage of firearms and unsafe storage of ammunition. He was released on a promise to appear and will be attending court in Winnipeg on August 29, 2014.
Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
