On June 17, 2014, at about 11:30am, East St. Paul RCMP received a report of an erratic driver who caused a collision at the corner of Hoddinott Road and Henderson Highway in East St.Paul.

The report continued that one driver and vehicle had fled the scene of the collision. Upon arrival, RCMP officers located a vehicle hung up in the trees of a residential lot on Hoddinott Road.

RCMP report that a 55-year-old male driver from East St. Paul was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident. Investigation also revealed that the manner in which the vehicle was being driven was dangerous to the public.

Police say that the driver was taken to the Selkirk RCMP Detachment, where he provided two breath samples four times the legal limit.
