During the morning of June 24, 2014, Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of suspicious people in the RM of Piney.
Police attended the community to investigate the complaint. The suspects were located and found to be in Canada illegally.
RCMP report that two Mexican citizens have subsequently been arrested under the Customs Act for illegally entering Canada. The 19-year-old and 22-year-old male suspects remain in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
