Just after 6am on July 1, 2014, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a number of reports of quad thefts.
Initial police investigation revealed that three quads had been stolen from the Portage la Prairie area and one was stolen from the Westbourne area.
RCMP report that with the assistance of the Amaranth RCMP, D Division Police Dog Services and Sandy Bay Dakota Ojibway Police Service, police were able to locate and arrest the suspects as well as recover the stolen quads.
Police say that two male youths, one from Sandy Bay First Nation and the other from Portage la Prairie, are facing a combined total of 34 charges.
