On July 4, 2014, just before 8:30pm, Oakbank RCMP responded to a collision involving a single vehicle and pedestrian in Oakbank, Manitoba. RM of Springfield Fire and EMS and the RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist attended as well.
Initial police investigation revealed that a 2004 Chevrolet truck collided with a pedestrian, a 15-year-old male youth, at a controlled intersection. The youth was run over by the truck.
RCMP report that the youth was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Police continue to investigate.
