“As an employer for the past 29 years in the southeast I’ve been fortunate to work with many young people in our region and I know the increasing challenges they face as they prepare for life in today’s world. I want to offer my experience both as an employer and as a parent to help our schools, teachers and staff be the best in the province.” said Kasdorf.

Kasdorf will be running in the ward that encompasses Niverville, Tourond, New Bothwell, Kleefeld and Crystal Springs colony. Two Trustee positions will be elected to the Hanover School Board to represent the ward.

Kasdorf currently owns and operates Shear Effects Hair Salon. He and his wife currently also operate a livestock farm in the Tourond area which they have owned for the past 20 years.

“As a small businessperson and a farmer, I know that we need quality education but at a cost that is affordable to the residents who pay school taxes. I want to ensure that the taxdollars’ we are entrusted with are used wisely and efficiently and that we are getting the best bang for our education buck. People work hard for what they earn and they deserve us to treat taxdollars with respect,” said Kasdorf.

Kasdorf is the father of three grown children who each attended public school in the Hanover School Division.

“I have appreciated the experience and the education that my own children received in the Hanover School Division. I know that for many young people the challenges and pressures of life are increasing and serving as a Trustee would be a way for me to give back to the region and our young people,” said Kasdorf.
