On September 6, 2014, just after 8am, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to a collision between a semi and a train on Highway 305, between Niverville and Ste. Agathe, Manitoba. There was significant fog in the area and visibility was reduced.

Police say that the 25-year-old driver of the semi, an RM of Ritchot man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The CP train was not derailed and no hazardous material was involved.

RCMP report that alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision and that an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
