On September 3, 2014, Russell RCMP responded to multiple reports of break and enters and vandalism to a local residence, businesses and vehicles.

Police say that at approximately 1:30am, RCMP attended a residence in Russell where it appeared that a screen had been cut to gain access to the home. Police noted that items had been stolen. Investigation led RCMP to discover that a nearby shed had been broken into and a pitchfork stolen. The pitchfork had been used to vandalize several vehicles in the area of the initial break and enter.

While following up on the early afternoon crimes, police were dispatched to a break and enter at a business in Russell. In this case, the suspect had gained entry by smashing a window. Damage had been done to the inside of the business. Nothing was taken. RCMP officers saw that a business nearby also had a smashed window. It, too, had been broken into and damaged and items stolen. RCMP then discovered two semi trucks had been entered and the suspect had discharged fire extinguishers inside the cabs of the trucks.

On September 4, 2014, at approximately 3am, Russell RCMP arrested Meagan Gregory, 21, of Russell, Manitoba. Gregory is facing numerous charges and is scheduled to appear in Brandon Provincial Court.
