On October 5, 2014, just before 8am, Brandon RCMP responded to a collision involving a semi on the Trans-Canada Highway on the Grand Valley bridge.

Police say that an eastbound semi truck went through the guardrail and landed in the ditch. The truck did not land in water. The 26-year-old male driver and a male passenger, both from Winnipeg, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP report that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this collision.
