Ted Falk, Member of Parliament for Provencher, announced today that applications are now being accepted to the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

“Canada Summer Jobs is focused on creating jobs that not only meet the needs of eligible employers, but benefit students looking to gain valuable work experience,” said MP Falk. “The Canada Summer Jobs Program will create thousands of opportunities for students across the country. Through this program we are helping students get the skills and training they need for jobs now and in the future.”

In 2014, 44 organizations in Provencher received funding to hire summer students, totalling $200,921.

Young people aged 15 to 30, who are full-time students and intend to return to school in the fall, can qualify for these job opportunities. The deadline for local businesses and not-for-profit organizations to apply for funding is January 30, 2015.

Applications are available on the Service Canada website.
