Canadian Gold Beverages in Marchand, Manitoba, reached a landmark agreement with Pic-a-Pop owner Bart Hruda, to take over the company. Pic-a-Pop, an iconic beverage from a few decades ago, was previously produced in Manitoba and exported as far away as Hawai.

Canadian Gold Beverages owner, P.C. de Jong, who lives in Manitoba and took over Canadian Gold Beverages in September 2012, believes it is a great opportunity to bring this fine product back to Manitoba ownership. In October 2014, Canadian Gold Beverages started to co-pack for Pic-a-Pop Inc. and De Jong felt that after a week or two that he needed to bring this icon brand back to Manitoba.

Taking over ownership, Canadian Gold Beverages feels its a better way to service the huge demand for Pic-a-Pop and develop the nostalgic flavours in eco-friendly glass bottles which brings out the best of the nine delicious flavours.

De Jong believes that bringing back Pic-a-Pop will lead to a more economic positive spin-off to Southeastern Manitoba, which has produced “Gold Award Winning Water” as awarded by the Berkeley Spring International Water Tasting Competition 2013, and 2014. The combination of the “Best Tasting Water in the World” and Pic-a-Pop flavours will bring a fabulous and delicious taste experience, a caffeine free beverage and the iconic taste memories back to life.
