RCMP were provided with a tip concerning a grow operation in a small rural town in southern Manitoba, the suspect was unknown to police and their activities had not been heard of previous to the information being received. A search warrant was prepared, 2 persons were arrested, 6 charges laid,$20,000 dollars in cash along with $600,000 in stolen property and 1,209 marihuana plants were seized.

The Manitoba Crime Stoppers Association Inc. was established in July of 1985. Manitoba Crime Stoppers serves the citizens of rural Manitoba, outside the cities of Brandon and Winnipeg. We are a community service program managed by a volunteer board of directors.
