On January 13, 2015, just before 7:30am, Oakbank RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 15, approximately two kilometres east of Dugald, Manitoba.

Police say that an eastbound pickup truck and a westbound car collided head-on in the westbound lane. Highway 15 was closed from Dugald to five kilometres east of Dugald.

The driver of the car, a 33-year-old Anola woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, a 22-year-old Winnipeg man, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.

RCMP report that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision and that both drivers were wearing seatbelts. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.

RCMP are asking anyone who saw the collision to call the Oakbank RCMP Detachment at 204-444-3847.
