On February 12, 2015, shortly before 10pm, RCMP Traffic Services responded to a two-vehicle collision on the Perimeter Highway, approximately three kilometres south of Oak Bluff, Manitoba.

Initial police investigation shows that a westbound pickup truck crossed the center meridian and collided head-on with an eastbound minivan. The 72-year-old male driver of the minivan, from the RM of Macdonald, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to hospital with serious injuries. His 64-year-old female passenger, from Domain, Manitoba, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 40-year-old male driver of the pickup truck, from La Salle, Manitoba, and the 18-year-old male passenger, from Winnipeg, were also transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP report that alcohol is not considered to be a factor in this incident a that all occupants were wearing their seatbelts. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
