On March 12, 2015, at approximately 5:45am, a male suspect was observed trying to steal a vehicle in Carberry, Manitoba.

Police say that the suspect was unsuccessful in stealing the vehicle, but did cause damage. He then fled in a previously stolen SUV, which he then abandoned two blocks away from the scene of the attempted theft. The suspect then stole a truck on the same street and drove to Sidney, Manitoba, where he attended a residence. He then drove to a residence in Brandon, where he was arrested by RCMP at approximately 1pm.

Upon searching the SUV, police found a cell phone, two knives, a handbag and some tools that did not belong to the accused or the registered owner.

RCMP report that 18-year-old Oswald Bunn of Sidney, Manitoba, is facing numerous charges including theft of a motor vehicle. Bunn appeared in Brandon Provincial Court on March 13, 2015.
