Hanover School Division is pleased to announce its recent hire of Darren Kuropatwa, as Director of Learning. Kuropatwa brings a wealth of administrative and educational experience to this newly created position, having spent the last four years as Curriculum Coordinator for the St. James-Assiniboia School Division, and having previously worked for the Ministry of Education in the provinces of Quebec and Manitoba.

“I love learning. As the new Director of Learning I’m looking forward to sharing that passion with everyone in Hanover, but I think I’m most looking forward to working with all the staff and students to make HSD the most enviable learning environment in Canada,” said Kuropatwa.

Primary responsibilities of the Director of Learning will include leading Learning Coaches in supporting instructional practice, building of instructional capacity for teachers, developing teaching strategies for student engagement, facilitating the use of educational technology for enhanced learning, and providing curricular resources to principals in support of school instructional plans.
