Blue Hills RCMP recently responded to a 911 report of a two motor vehicle collision, approximately 3 miles south of Brandon on Highway 10. Brandon Fire and Ambulance also attended the scene.

Police say that a white 2013 Honda Pilot, driven by a 63-year-old man, was traveling south and had slowed for traffic ahead. The Honda was then struck from behind by a 2010 Gray 4 door Mazda 3 driven by an 18-year-old woman. The Mazda 3 also had a passenger.

RCMP report no major injuries resulted from the collision and that seat belts were in use and air bags were deployed in the Mazda 3. The 18-year-old driver was issued a common offence notice for following too close, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. Driver distraction is attributed to this collision.
