On August 24, 2015, at approximately 12pm, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP were called to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles on Highway 75 at the intersection of Provincial Road 305 in the RM of Ritchot, just west of Ste. Agathe.

Initial police investigation revealed that a pickup truck was traveling west on PR 305, entered the intersection and proceeded north on Highway 75. The pickup truck was then struck on the side by a small passenger car that was traveling north on Highway 75.

Police say that the lone driver of the pickup truck was not injured. The driver and passenger of the car were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP report that alcohol is not a factor in this collision.

RCMP Traffic Analysts are currently on-scene investigating the cause of the accident. Highway 75 North in Ste. Agathe is not fully closed, but motorists are urged to slow down when approaching emergency services workers and expect some traffic delays.
