On September 20, 2015, just before 10pm, officers from the Dauphin RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Road 110 West, approximately 1 mile south of Dauphin, Manitoba.

Investigators attended the scene and located a Chevrolet Impala on its right side on the east side of the road. Fire and ambulance personnel were also in attendance.

Investigators determined the car had been traveling southbound when it left the road. The driver of the car, a 41-year-old Dauphin man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 38-year-old Duck Bay, Manitoba, woman was taken to hospital for non life threatening injuries.

The investigation continues with the assistance of an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors.
