Red River Mutual and The Firefighters’ Burn Fund along with members of the community came together to help replace the hard wired heat detectors and smoke alarms at the Kiddie Sunshine Centre, a local nursey school.

The Kiddie Sunshine Centre is a non-profit organization located in Altona, Manitoba that provides child care and preschool to children of all ages.

Lonny Peters Loewen, Loss Prevention Coordinator for Red River Mutual, presented a cheque for $2,500 on behalf of Red River Mutual and The Firefighters’ Burn Fund to the Kiddie Sunshine Centre in Altona to help replace their smoke alarms and heat detectors.

“Working smoke alarms and heat detectors play a vital role in preventing fire-related injuries and fatalities,” said Lonny Peters Loewen, Loss Prevention Coordinator at Red River Mutual. “Red River Mutual is proud to provide assistance to the Kiddie Sunshine Centre to update their fire protection system to current safety standards.”
