Two Winnipeg men are facing numerous charges after being arrested by St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP in connection to a local home invasion.

During the early morning hours of January 1, 2016, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion in progress in the RM of DeSalaberry. Police say that the residents, who were home at the time of the incident, were awakened by noise and called police. Police attended and arrested 34-year-old Brett Sutherland and 29-year-old Candace Scott, both from Winnipeg. A stolen Audi was also recovered at the scene and has been confirmed stolen from Headingley, MB.

There were no injuries due to this incident and RCMP report that both accused will be facing numerous charges and have been remanded into custody pending court appearances.
